Wasalu Muhammad Jaco (b. February 17, 1982 in Chicago, Illinois), popularly known by stage name Lupe Fiasco (pronounced LOO-PAY) is an American hip-hop artist. Lupe first became known to the mainstream hip-hop community in 2005 when he appeared on "Touch The Sky" for Kanye West's sophmore album Late Registration. He has released his debut album, Food & Liquor on Atlantic Records on September 19, 2006 which includes the August 2005 preview track, "Kick, Push".
