Biography

Rilo Kiley is a Los Angeles-based indie pop band formed in 1998 and fronted by singer/guitarists Jenny Lewis and Blake Sennett. Both are former child actors who met up in 1998 through mutual friend Pierre DeReeder, a schoolfriend of Sennet's from La Jolla who plays bass in the band. The band also features Jason Boesel on drums, a replacement for the original drummer Dave Rock. They began their career on Barsuk Records, releasing Take Offs And Landings in 2001. They moved to Omaha-based indie label Saddle Creek for their second album, 2002's The Execution of All Things.
