There are two bands called Iron Maiden: 1. The new wave of british heavy metal band with Steve Harris. 2. the british 60s progressive rock/proto doom band later renamed The Bolton Iron Maiden. 1) Iron Maiden is a New Wave of British Heavy Metal band. Formed in London in 1975 by bassist Steve Harris, they are one of the most successful and influential bands in the heavy metal genre, selling over 100 million albums worldwide.
